What is in a name? Cannon Digital Cameras have spent millions of
dollars over the years to promote their name and Canon still gets spelled
incorrectly!
I don’t believe Canon Inc. is too concerned when consumers search the
internet for Cannon Digital Cameras instead of
Canon Digital Cameras. At the
least consumers remember their name and relate it to quality
digital still cameras. What Canon is most
concerned about is that people understand when you hear the name Canon, no
matter how you spell it; you know quality and reliability is in the name.
Digital cameras with their electronics technology are Canon’s greatest
concern because Canon wants to earn the rights that the name Canon demands.
When Canon puts 8 mega pixels into it’s Canon PowerShot Pro 1 digital still
camera and 7 times optical zoom lens, a high quality movie mode with sound, and
high resolution LCD monitor, it knows the consumer is expecting Canon quality.
The same goes for the Canon PowerShot SD500; with its 7.1 mega pixels, 3
times optical zoom, high end movie mode with sound, large LCD monitor coupled
with its ultra slim design, again it knows the consumer is expecting Canon
quality.
And when Canon up grades the PowerShot S1 IS to the PowerShot S2 IS, Canon is
reacting to the expressed needs and wants of it’s consumers with the 5 mega
pixels, 12 times optical zoom, and the SD media port. Plus Canon still includes
the Image Stabilizer feature in the PowerShot S1 IS and still knows the consumer
is expecting Canon quality.
So confidently go out and photograph away with your Cannon or Canon PowerShot
digital still camera.
