Canon Digital Cameras: What is all the noise about?

In many ways Canon digital cameras have been the leaders in new electronics technology and continue to take the challenge of leading the way as a responsibility that goes with the job. Canon has been in the camera business since the late 30’s and they haven’t let up since they began.
 

Digital cameras by Canon are diverse and cover virtually every photographers needs.

The ultra slim series; the Canon Powershot SD 110 with its 3.2 mega pixels and 2 times optical zoom to the Powershot SD 500 and its 7.1 mega pixels, 3 times optical zoom offer incredible clarity with ultra compact size. These cameras offer excellent movie mode resolution and 1.5 to 2 inch LCD size screens.

The compact Canon Powershot A510 and Powershot A520 are Canon’s newest 3 and 4 mega pixels cameras. The two biggest changes are the media, from Compact flash to Secure Digital and reducing from 4 AA batteries to 2.

The full size compacts are the Powershot S2 IS and Powershot G6. Both are larger cameras with the main differences being the optical zoom size. The Powershot S2 IS has a 12 times verses the Powershot G6’s 4 times optical zoom lens. The Powershot G6 has a 7.1 mega pixel size against the 5 mega pixel Powershot S2 IS.

The SLR style Canon Powershot Pro 1 offers a 7 times, 28 to 200mm equivalent optical zoom lens and 8 mega pixels. At the same time, Canon keeps the ease of use high on the list of priorities with this digital still camera.

Last but far from least is the Canon digital SLR cameras. From the entry level Canon EOS Digital Rebel to the top of the line EOS-1Ds Mark II, Canon has answered the bell in all categories.
