Digital Camera Review: there are so many, what is the best?
I am not surprised with the question ‘what is the best digital camera
review?’ I am surprised with the answer to that question. When you are checking
assorted digital still camera reviews, be sure to check out some of the
following criteria.
Digital cameras are so varied that the best review will be the one that fits
your needs and wants!
What I mean by that is a good review should give some highlights and low
lights about a digital camera. It may include information on mega pixels,
optical zoom strength, LCD monitor size and pixels, movie mode with or without
sound and the cameras' cosmetics/ergonomics or ‘how it feels in your hand’.
If you are not hearing key words about what is important to you then you
might want to check out someone else’s review. I find the review from the
manufacturer’s web sites may not give you all the low lights. Therefore be sure
to ask yourself what is important to you and seek out those answers and don’t
forget the electronics technology
that influences today’s cameras as well.
For example, optical zoom is important to me because I prefer to photograph
birds and they, in most cases, don’t like me getting to close to them. Therefore
a ten or twelve time’s optical zoom is important to me. As I have taken many
digital photos over the past few years, I prefer a larger LCD monitor.
Also, the newer hybrid screen is much easier to view outdoors and usually
they are a larger LCD monitor. I don’t use my digital camera in movie mode very
often therefore movie mode is not as important to me. However, that doesn’t mean
I don’t use the movie mode. If it comes with the camera I find occasionally I
take advantage of it.
All the features of a digital still camera,
whether it is the mega pixels, optical zoom strength, LCD size or movie mode are
worth considering when checking out a camera review.
