Panasonic digital cameras offer many Panasonic features such as Mega OIS,
Venus II Engine, Venus Engine Plus and of course Leica lenses. Current models in
the Panasonic Lumix line are: DMC-FZ20, DMC-FZ5, DMC-FX7, DMC-FZ4, DMC-LZ2,

Mega OIS or optical image stabilizer is a patented process by Panasonic.
Optical image stabilizer’s are not new, however, what Panasonic added was the
ability to turn itself on when the shutter released as opposed to always being
on. This allows for even sharper images which is especially noticeable with the
larger 12 times optical zooms.
Another benefit from the Mega OIS is the ability to take photographs in low
light situations. Lower shutter speeds will be easier to use with Mega OIS.
The Venus II Engine’s electronics technology has high resolution and a faster
processor. This processor offers dramatically improved vertical, horizontal and
diagonal resolution bringing Panasonics' image quality to its highest quality
ever.
The Venus Engine Plus allows super fast processing. The benefit of this can
be seen in Panasonics' new infinite Burst Shooting Mode, the lag time between
shots and the shutter interval. Panasonic Leica Optics Lumix lenses are in all
the Lumix digital still camera line. Whether you choose the Panasonic DMC-FZ20
with it’s 12 times optical zoom or the DMC-FX7 and it’s 3 times optical zoom,
you can rest assured the Leica Lumix lens line will not let you down.
