Panasonic Plasma TV s are America’s Best-Selling Plasmas
Panasonic plasma TVs are the Mercedes of the plasma television category. Why?
Panasonic has made the quality and longevity of their plasmas a key objective.
The electronics inside the TV are
second to none. Consistently, Panasonic has made the critics top ten lists
(mostly number one) for plasma TV and sold
more than anyone else in the U.S.
Common Plasma Questions
1) What is the difference between plasma and LCD?
Plasma is a phosphor-based emissive technology similar to a CRT television,
while LCD televisions are chip-based
with a backlight and twisted crystals. If you want a larger TV (over 36”),
plasma is better but if you have a bright room, you will like LCD better (but
generally smaller than plasma).
2) Will plasma fade out?
All televisions fade out over time. Panasonic plasma televisions have a
projected half-life of 60 000 hours (well over 20 years at 7 hours a day).
3) Can I refill or recharge a plasma?
No.
4) Can a plasma experience burn-in?
Yes, however, Panasonic has made huge improvements in screen savers, pixel
shifting, and brightness control to reduce chance of burn-in.
5) How does contrast ratio work?
Contrast ratio is the difference between the lightest white and the darkest
black. The higher the contrast ratio, the better the overall blacks, whites and
colors. Most Panasonic plasma televisions have up to 3000:1 and they have some
that achieve 4000:1!
6) What kind of lighting should I watch my plasma?
Almost any lighting looks great. Panasonic has a anti-glare coating on their
plasma TVs to reduce external light. The plasma looks the best in lower
lighting.
7) How environmentally friendly are Panasonic plasmas?
Panasonic plasmas are Energy Star compliant and power efficient.
