Sony Digital Camera: What are all the good things in a DSC? (Digital Still Camera)

When a Sony digital camera first launched for the consumer, they called it the Sony Mavica. Its' uniqueness was that it used the floppy disc for easy upload through the ‘A’ drive on your computer. This effectively removed any difficulty in getting your pictures.

Digital cameras, like Sony, today have removed that clumsiness and turned digital still cameras into an enjoyable photographic experience.

Back in the early days of digital camera photography, floppy discs were used by Sony to make things more user-friendly. Most manufacturers used serial and parallel port cables to upload images and this caused some confusion. But as digital still cameras developed into mega pixels, bigger optical zooms and LCD size screens, Sony and others, had to move ahead with their electronics technology.

Today, Sony cameras are up to 8 mega pixels, (Cybershot DSC-F828), with movie mode, (Cybershot DSCM1) with stereo sound or the large LCD size screen, (Cybershot DSCT33) with it’s 2.5 inch hybrid LCD screen. Sony, of course has many other models as these are just a sampling, so it is definitely worth checking them all out.

Sony digital still cameras are varied from ultra slims to compacts followed by SLR style and all are easy to use. Regardless of mega pixel, LCD size, optical zoom or movie mode, Sony allows USB hook up, Sony’s proprietary Memory Stick Pro media plus card reader technology to upload your photos. So, go ahead and shoot away with your Sony Cybershot digital still camera and have fun!

Enjoy your pictures!
